A taut Kenyan thriller — a Light Media production in collaboration with Serengeti Studio.
Producer · Director · Sound — Steve Ominde
Light Media Productions is a Nairobi film, television and audio house. Two decades turning real African stories into work that travels — for broadcasters, brands and the world's leading development organisations.
Steve Ominde came up in sound. Out of high school he set his sights on production at a time when there was no clear way in — so he made one, travelling to the United States in the late 1990s, working studios by day and building a home studio to teach himself the craft.
In 2001 he came home to Nairobi and founded Soul Child Records, drawing on an urban, soulful sensibility shaped by the likes of Boyz II Men, Kirk Franklin and Fred Hammond. His production work earned a 2003 KORA Awards nomination — one of the continent's highest musical honours.
That ear for rhythm and emotion became the foundation for Light Media Productions: a full audio-visual house where the score is never an afterthought and every frame is cut to feeling. Film, television, documentary and sound — under one roof, led by one storyteller.
